Shakespeare wrote: “Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind.” This may be true of the bride and groom, but it is not true of the guests at a wedding. Your wedding colors are often the first thing your guests notice – after you, of course – and they will continue to see your colors throughout the evening. From the first invitation to the clothing, food, decorations, and guest book, your wedding color combination sets the tone for your wedding and gives it a distinct mood.
Pastel Green, Purple, and Gold
This color scheme works especially well for a daytime wedding held outdoors on a spreading green lawn. The soft pastel green featured in this wedding color scheme will complement the color of the grass, and the pastel purple and soft gold colors add interest and imbue the wedding with a gentle springtime feel. The bride wears white while her bridesmaids wear pastel green dresses. The groom wears a dark tuxedo with a pastel green tie and gold pocket square, as do his groomsmen. Tablecloths are alternating colors of green, gold and purple. Serve wine or punch the color of rich gold, and serve yellow cake with purple and gold frosting. The key to this combination is to use pastel colors rather than bright colors, which may look dated. Done correctly, this wedding color combination makes for a bright and happy mood.
Navy, Dark Green, and White
A navy and dark green wedding color combination conveys class, depth, and brisk confidence. The bride’s white dress looks especially lovely against the navy worn by her bridesmaids. The groom and his groomsmen wear a dark navy suit, elegant green neckties, and pocket squares. Tables are draped with navy tablecloths and contain vases filled with brilliant white roses. The cake and its icing are a brilliant white and are trimmed with navy and dark green frosting. As with the preceding wedding color combination, this wedding pallet looks fantastic at a wedding held on a green lawn. It also makes for a memorable seaside wedding.
White, Off-White, and Yellow
Your guests won’t soon forget this subtly beautiful color combination. White, off white, and yellow make for a dazzling beautiful wedding that will leave guests rubbing their eyes. Make no mistake: this color combination heavily emphasizes pure white and only relies on other colors sparingly. Tablecloths are pure white and contain vases filled with roses of the very same shade. The cake is white and is covered in white icing accented with off-white and yellow trim. The groom and his groomsmen wear white tuxedos with yellow neckties and may wear white top hats if desired. Surrounded by her white clad attendants, the bride looks angelic and seems to radiate purity. Those with a flair for the dramatic might consider renting a white carriage drawn by white horses.

Give thyme wedding favors for a “growing memory” of your wedding day. Brides and Grooms love the smell of thyme and it is a popular centerpiece for wedding reception tables. These herb seed kits are adorable and look beautiful on wedding reception tables all year round.
Like most herbs, thyme can successfully and relatively easy be grown indoors, it needs only a bright windowsill and some basic attention to thrive.
Thymus vulgaris: Hardy evergreen perennial; cosmetic, culinary, medicinal, ornamental
Thyme is appreciated as a versatile culinary seasoning, easy to grow from seed; thyme thrives and is most flavorful when given lots of sun. Thyme has long been a symbol of bravery, and valued for its antiseptic qualities. Its leaves are rich in oils and create a powerful antiseptic, beneficial in healing lotions and salves.Thyme pretty much grows itself. In fact, the more you fuss with it, the less hardy it will be. Thyme is most fragrant and flavorful when grown in dry, lean soil. Too much moisture will rot the plants.
Perfect Fall Wedding Favors, thyme is a seasonal favorite, brilliant choice.

As the Fall Wedding Season approaches we are asked what favors are best for fall weddings.
Question to ask:
1. What do you prefer, flower, tree or herb.
- for Flowers you can do Flower Bulb Favors, they are really beautiful and tulips, iris and daffodil are ONLY available in the fall so take advantage of the season.
- For Trees the best choice is Tree Seedlings, Fall is one of the best time to plant trees , they get a chance to establish themselves before winter sets |
if you would rather not deal with seedlings ( they arrive about a week before the wedding date) tree seed kits are also popular in the Fall. They can be planted and grown indoors for up to a year
2. What about the seed in eco box kits, will they work for Fall Weddings?
- The seed kits will work any time of year because you get everything you need to grow the seeds. Some of the seeds grow faster like the sunflower and would have to be re-potted when the seedlings get to be about 2 inches in height. You could always plant a few of the seeds in the fall ( there is alot of seed/packet) and store the rest in your refrigerator for spring planting.
3. Will the seeds last until the spring if we give them out in the fall?
- absolutely they will. seed packet 2 x 2″ (number of seeds vary with species – 5 – 10 grams)
- seed packets are presented in hermetically sealed foil packets to preserve freshness
We offer quality seed. Seed is packed frequently and stored in coolers on site. Store seed in your refrigerator, or cool, dry area prior to your event date for the best germination . Seed packets can be stored in your refrigerator for up to 1 year .
4 . For Seed Packet Favors what works?
- there is a tremdous selection in the seed packet favor category: colors, designs, formates: most of the seed packets can accomodate flower and herb seed: for flower seed to plant in the ground we recommend wildflowers . They are allperennials and will come back every year in your garden. They do not necessarily bloom the first year anyway so you are not missing much by planting them late in the season.
For a indoor grower we recommend gerber daisy in a seed packet or kit. They need warm conditions to grow so a sunny window in a warm area in your house works well.
This video may help understand their nature. They are beautiful but a slow growing flower, will grow slower in the fall and winter but could be good to move outdoors next summer for the flowering.
If you have any other question , please send them our way, we are pleased to offer suggestions as well. Decorative Wedding Favors are beautiful guest gifts, meaning wedding favors from the bride and groom are treasured gifts, make them last.

There are many reasons to hold your fall weddings outdoors, but the ability to incorporate trees and other natural elements is one the most compelling. This article provides some ideas you can use to incorporate trees into your fall weddings.
The tree is the perfect symbol of everlasting love and romance for fall weddings, incorporating trees into your Outdoor Ceremony is a natural choice. Some of the famous Redwood trees in California have been witness to thousands of years of history, and there are reports of trees that date back to the time when humans first roamed the earth. With so much history and symbolism behind them, it is no wonder so many wedding planners are incorporating trees into their celebrations. Fall Weddings are perfect venues to celebrate trees and giving them to your guests would be a wonderful gesture creating a forest.
From lining the aisle at an outdoor wedding ceremony to infusing reception centerpieces with the boughs of an evergreen, there are many different ways for trees to play a role in your special day. Many brides and grooms choose to incorporate tree seedlings into their pre-wedding festivities as well, giving the gift of small trees to the guests at their bridal showers and rehearsal dinners. Once planted, those trees can serve as eternal reminders of the love they are meant to celebrate.
While trees can play a beautiful role in your wedding at any time of year, they really shine during the autumn season. More and more brides are choosing the fall of the year for their weddings – and with good reason. The fall tends to be a less busy time for weddings, and that can mean lower prices on wedding staples like catering and photography and better availability for in-demand venues like country clubs and exclusive resorts.
If you do plan to have a fall weddings, there are many reasons to consider an outdoor ceremony bedecked by trees in their full autumn foliage. In many parts of the country the fall offers the best weather of the year, with pleasantly warm nights and cool evenings that are perfect for dancing at an outdoor stage.
Couples can make their outdoor fall weddings shine even more by incorporating the natural colors of the trees into their wedding colors. From the bright oranges and reds of the changing maple trees to more subdued shades like yellows and browns, the trees put on a great show during the autumn season. Using different shades of those same colors in your wedding flowers, bouquets, floral arrangements and table centerpieces is a great way to create a unified look for your special day.
No matter how you choose to incorporate trees into your wedding ceremony, you can be sure that your choices will make a lasting impression on your guests. There is nothing like the beauty of nature to compliment the enduring nature of your relationship and your love.
Plant a tree in the fall for the best results.
Did you know 2 mature trees provide enough oxygen for a family of 4?
Half of the world’s forests have disappeared.
Tree planting is the most cost effective way to reduce the CO2 in the atmosphere and cool down the earth’s temperature.
Planting 30 trees will remove a person’s carbon debt for that year.
What can you do?
Small changes in your life routine can add up to big differences in helping to help the earth. It is difficult to believe that one person and planting one little tree can make a difference. But it can, and planting trees is an easy, fun way to contribute to greening your town.
The presentation of a tree at a special event is a tremendous gift. A wonderful opportunity to inspire, promote and plant trees for a Greener Tomorrow. By giving Trees as Favors at their Weddings, brides and grooms will set an example and possibly inspire their guests. Meaningful gifts create “growing memories” that last a lifetime.
